Zonal School for Young Psychiatrists

The Zonal School for Young Psychiatrists was organized in Belgrade in October 2008, taking place from October 21. to 22. during the XIII National Congress of the Serbian Psychiatric Association, co-sponsored by the World Psychiatric Association. The School included candidates from Central Europe and Serbia and was part of the Institutional Program for Young Psychiatrists of the World Psychiatric Association.

The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Juan Enrique Mezzich, Prof. Dr. Dušica Lečić-Toševski, and Prof. Dr. Miroslava Jašović-Gašić. The lecturers included Asist. Dr. Nađa Marić Bojović, Asist. Dr. Milica Pejović Milovančević, and Asist. Dr. Milan Latas. 

As a continuation of the Mokrogorska Winter School for Young Psychiatrists, the Zonal School aimed to introduce young colleagues to essential skills for scientific work and professional development through an interactive teaching format. These skills included writing a CV, using scientific literature, presenting and writing scientific papers, and organizing a scientific project.

Evaluation of the program showed a high level of satisfaction among participants regarding both the content and format of the education.
