Small School of Research in Clinical Psychiatry, Clinic for Psychiatry, University Clinical Center of Serbia

April 27 @ 10:00 am - April 28 @ 5:00 pm

The first steps in scientific research are often filled with enthusiasm, but also with many uncertainties.
How do you move from an idea to a research question? How do you choose the appropriate study design? What do “methodology” and “statistical analysis” really mean? How do you write a scientific paper and navigate the publication process?

The “Small School of Research in Clinical Psychiatry” was created precisely from these questions and from the personal experiences of its lecturers—drawing on their early research days, uncertainties, dilemmas, mistakes, attempts, and the persistence required along the way.

The School is designed to provide young physicians with structure, clarity, and practical tools for initiating and conducting clinical research in a direct and applicable manner. It also serves as a reminder that, alongside knowledge, the advancement of science and the profession relies above all on collaboration, friendship, and shared goals.

Program focus (practical knowledge includes):
How to formulate a research question and study objectives
How to choose an appropriate research design
Fundamentals of biostatistics relevant to clinical practice
Structure and writing of a scientific paper
First steps toward publication
